Principal
Dina F. Snider, AIA, LEED AP
Well respected by her clients for her organizational skills and attention to detail, Dina has managed many of Strada's recent, large-scale projects for both new construction and historic preservation/adaptive reuse, including Equitable Resources, LandAmerica, Market Square Place, Bridgeside and the new Public Safety Building at the University of Pittsburgh. The skill set that she brings to each project – incorporating a sophisticated understanding of the interrelationship of a client's programmatic needs, building code requirements, historic preservation, and green building practices – makes her highly valuable to each client she works with.
As a LEED 2.0 Accredited Professional and the leader of Strada's sustainable design initiatives Dina contributes green design thinking to all of Strada's projects. She also has extensive experience in complex code and zoning evaluations and solutions, having completed very complex, multi-use renovation projects in the City of Pittsburgh.
Other project delivery experience includes: project architect for the University of Pittsburgh Public Safety Building under a CM at risk delivery method, the Bridgeside II Laboratory Center Incubator building at the Pittsburgh Technology Park, and coordinated with Payette Associates to provide supplementary services to accommodate the new Vivarium tenant fit-out for the building. She was also integral to the development of a new prototype branch bank for National City Bank and the renovation of The Galleria in Mt. Lebanon, PA.
Dina is equally committed to the social dimension of architectural practice. Her previous positions with non-profit development corporations, and as an active participant on the boards of nonprofit, community-based organizations has given her a valuable understanding of community development, residential restoration, and the development of social services programs.
