- Four New Professionals Join Strada
Since Fall Strada has added an intern architect, an interior designer, a landscape architect and a graphic designer to their staff. Nikole Ann Lopretto joined Strada as an Interior Designer. Nikole graduated from Chatham College in August of 2007 with a Masters of Interior Architecture. She also holds a BA in History from the University of Pittsburgh. Prior to joining Strada, Nikole was the Wardrobe Supervisor at the Pittsburgh Public Theater for from 2000-2005 and the Assistant Costumier at the Pittsburgh Public Theatre from 1995-2000. At Strada, Nikole is part of a project team that is planning over 600,000 sq. ft. of office space for a building, designed by Strada, to begin construction in 2008. Claudia Saladin joined Strada as a Landscape Architect. Claudia has a Masters of Landscape Architecture from the University of Virginia (2007) as well as an MA in Russian and East European Studies, University of Michigan (1993), a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School (1992), and a B.A. from Oberlin College (1987). Prior to returning to school for Landscape Architecture, Claudia was the Director, Sustainable Commerce Program for the World Wildlife Fund (2001-2004), a Senior Attorney for the Center for International Environmental Law (1994-2001), and a Visiting Lecturer, University of Latvia Faculty of Law (1993-1994). At Strada, Claudia is working on the site plan and riverfront esplanade for the Majestic Star Casino. Claudia is also designing the landscape plan for the McKeesport Downtown Trail extension of the Great Allegheny Passage, a 150-mile system of biking and hiking trails that connect Cumberland, MD and Pittsburgh. Paulina Wilkowska joined Strada as an Intern Architect. Most recently, Paulina was an Intern Architect at Pratt Design in Chicago where she worked extensively on the Barnes Jewish Hospital and the Elmhurst Memorial Hospital Healthcare Campus. She also worked for Hans Archibald Design in Lake Forest and for System Development & Integration in Chicago where she represented the firm to complete property assessments of commercial properties in Chicago, Dallas and Washington, DC. At Strada, Paulina part of the design team for a new corporate building, designed by Strada, to begin construction in the Spring of 2008. Rachel Ann Stadelmeier will join Strada as a Graphic Designer in January. Rachel recently received a BFA from Carnegie Mellon University in Communication Design. Since graduating in the spring of 2007, Rachel freelanced at Landesberg Design, acted as sole designer for an exhibit on fairy tales for the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh and created the design catalogue, signage and postcards for Nakashima Revealed: The Carnegie Mellon Collection. At Strada, Rachel will provide graphic design support for the marketing department and will assist in the design of presentation materials for clients.
