- Strada Names a New Principal and Two New Associates
The principals at Strada announced today that Strada Associate, Dina Fredrickson Snider, AIA accepted an offer to become a Principal of the firm, and that Raymond F. McCaughey, AIA and Thomas Price, AIA have been promoted to Associates. “Dina has been with Strada since we formed in 2000 and was with my firm, Cuteri Architectural Group, from 1996,” said Alan J. Cuteri, AIA, Principal. “Strada’s growing and we’re very happy to be able to make this offer to Dina, who has been such an important part of our success.” At Strada, Dina has over $50 million in construction experience on office building projects including the Del Monte and Equitable headquarters on the North Shore and the LandAmerica building in Washington, PA. Dina also provided project management on the University of Pittsburgh’s new Public Safety Building, and is currently managing the Market Square Place project, a historic preservation and adaptive re-use project, which is being designed as a LEED certified building. Other areas of experience include urban design and planning, academic, and retail. Dina graduated in 1992 from Carnegie Mellon University’s College of Fine Arts with a Bachelor of Architecture degree and a minor in Industrial Administration. She is a LEED 2.0 Accredited Professional. Additionally, Raymond F. McCaughey, AIA and Thomas Price, AIA were each promoted to the position of Associate. Prior to his promotion, Ray was a Senior Project Manager at Strada. During his 25-year career in architecture he has planned and managed hundreds of retail, commercial, historic, and university projects. He is adept at managing multiple-building facility projects for private and institutional clients and has done so in sixteen states. Currently, Ray is the project manager on the Majestic Star Casino, which is currently under construction, and on the Dick’s Sporting Goods Corporate Headquarters, which will begin construction this year. Previously, Ray was a principal and vice president of a 50 person A/E firm where he led retail and commercial projects, and more recently worked for WTW Architects for college and university clients. Ray is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University’s architecture program. Strada’s other new Associate, Thomas Price, AIA, previously served as a Project Architect with the firm, and is a leader in the design and placemaking process at Strada. A central focus of his work is collaborating closely with clients to develop design solutions that embrace and solve the complexities inherent in every job. Tom is particularly interested in urban mixed-use projects, and in exploring ways to seamlessly integrate designs into the dense and diverse fabric of cities. This exploration occurs not only through work done by Strada, but also through his teaching at Carnegie Mellon University. Since joining Strada, Tom has worked on projects that include Piatt Place, Majestic Star Casino, Ibiza Restaurant, the Equitable Resources Building, and the Del Monte Center, and other retail, restaurant, and university projects. Tom has a BS in Architectural Studies from the University of Illinois and a Master of Architecture from the University of Virginia.
