PITTSBURGH, PA - Strada has hired R.O. (Rock) Kernick, AIA, LEED certified architect. Rock comes to Strada from Designstream Architectural Studio where he was a project architect on the Consol Energy Headquarters and the Family House at the University Club. Prior to Designstream, Rock was a project architect for WTW where he worked extensively on college and university projects, notably the School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture at Penn State, The Posner Center at Carnegie Mellon, and the Joe Crowley Student Union at the University of Reno.

At Strada, Rock is working on the new Dick’s Sporting Goods 670,000 sq. ft. corporate headquarters in Findley Township, which includes a 120-acre corporate campus.

“Rock joins Strada at a strategic time in the firm’s evolution,” said Strada principal Alan Cuteri, AIA. “His depth of experience in major college and university projects will assist our growth in that market.”

Rock earned his degree in architecture at the University of Illinois at Chicago and attended the Environment and Energy Studies Programme at the Architectural Association Graduate School, London.
