- Shriver appointed to ICSC Board
Strada is pleased to announce that Strada principal, Edward A. Shriver, AIA, has been appointed to the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) board as the PA/NJ/DE State Alliance Co-Chair for the 2008-2009 term. As ICSC the PA/NJ/DE State Alliance Co-Chair, Shriver will be responsible for assisting the association in educating both the public and private sector about ICSC’s Alliance program, as well as recruiting volunteers to assist in the development of forums meant to initiate dialogue and develop key working relationships between developers, retailers and local government officials. Shriver commented: “ICSC can bridge the gap between urban retail and mainstreet organizations, and the larger retail community. By combining the expertise of these two groups, urban retail streets can be revitalize and reinvigorate. As an ICSC board member I will work to promote a better understanding of the opportunities, as well as the constraints, in the urban retail environment, so that the energy and creativity of both groups can be focused on initiatives that work for everyone.” Founded in 1957, ICSC is the premier global trade association of the shopping center industry. Its more than 75,000 members in 93 countries include shopping center owners, developers, managers, marketing specialists, investors, retailers and brokers, as well as academics and public officials.
