- Strada Announces New Project at the University of Pittsburgh
PITTSBURGH, PA – Strada proudly announces that the University of Pittsburgh has awarded the firm the design of the new Public Safety Building for the main campus in Oakland, a neighborhood in the City of Pittsburgh.
The University of Pittsburgh Public Safety Building is a four story 23,200 s.f. building. This new building will house the University Police and Environmental Health and Safety Departments and provide on-site covered parking for police vehicles. Currently a parking lot, the site is located adjacent to the University’s Facilities Management Building (Eureka Building) on Forbes Avenue. The project is designed to give the police department a visual presence on campus and at the entrance to the Oakland campus. Scheduled to be completed December 2006, the project is currently being bid.
Strada, an architecture, interior design, landscape, and urban design firm, is located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Strada embraces projects that create places for people including academic buildings, master plans, mixed-use urban developments, corporate offices, and retail spaces.
