The U.S. Custom House dominates the skyline of Philadelphia’s historic Society Hill. The certified historic landmark rises 20 stories high and houses 30 federal agencies in its 475,000 square feet of space. This major renovation of the Art Deco building entailed an historically accurate restoration of the building fabric inside and out, the installation of dramatic exterior lighting, code improvements, and modernization of the building’s systems and workspaces. The project also provided tenant planning and interior design for tenants, including the National Park Service, Mid-Atlantic Headquarters.
