Bedford Downtown Revitalization Plan

Bedford is one of the oldest towns in central PA, dating from the 1740’s when Fort Bedford was an important outpost in the French and Indian Wars. This plan uses the town’s historic character as the basis of a revitalization plan focused on tourism. The centerpiece of the plan a reconstructed Fort Bedford connected to the small, but charming commercial district where there would be streetscape, public spaces, and facade restorations.
