Blackbird Lofts

This urban mixed-use complex combines a lower level garage, ground floor retail, and 15 loft style apartments. The Blackbird Lofts were designed to fit in with the 19th Century character of its Lower Lawrenceville (LoLa) location. The small lot size (11,600 s.f.) required 100% coverage, numerous zoning variances, and a creative approach which uses the site's slope to incorporate the garage. Planned for LEED 2.0 certification, this project will be the first mixed-use building to be certified in the Western Pennsylvania region.
