The Shops on Walnut Street
Pittsburgh, PA
Client: Ross Development Company
This 15,000 s.f. retail building on Walnut Street, Shadyside complements the existing character of Pittsburgh’s premier shopping street. The building is designed to enhance the continued development of an urban shopping street through the use of high-quality materials and details. It was conceived as an urbane building, geared to the pedestrian. The large, glass storefront and grandly scaled facade engages window shoppers and creates a monumental presence on the street. Yet, the structure still remains sympathetic to its context.
