The Urban Stage

This competition proposal engages the University’s signature programs in the performing arts to create a public space that is a stage for public life in the city. Conceived as a venue that inspires activities that range from the small dramas of everyday life to casual performances and major events, it would become the new center of the University’s urban campus. Indoor/outdoor connections are stimulated through new architectural interventions and projection screens that reflect theatrical studies.
